It’s me, hi… I’m the blogger, it’s me.

I learned almost everything I know about being an Elevated Leader the hard way, and I wished that there had been more resources to help me see how simple it could be.

We so often believe that the answer is outside of ourselves, and it never actually is. Many people hate to hear this because blaming others seems so easy… but when we know that it is OURSELVES at the root of it all, we can actually take action and create lasting change.

…are you still with me or have I scared you off?

When I began to hold myself accountable for what I do and why I do it, I launched into the best and most exciting part of my life. It was impossible to lead other people until I was able to lead myself.

How could anyone take me seriously when I couldn’t take myself seriously?

How would anyone respect me when I so clearly didn’t respect myself?

I am sharing the insights, tips and lessons that I have learned and continue to learn here. They are universal and available to anyone and everyone who seeks them! We have so much to learn from each other.

Some of what I share may look unrelated to leadership, but it is all interconnected. How you do anything is how you do everything. Who you are personally is who you are professionally.

When you read my blog, follow me on social media (@jenayoung2.0 and @elevatedleadership) or even decide to be my friend IRL, you are getting the WHOLE me. There are countless avenues to share content these days and they all require a different “strategy.” I’m exhausted by the strategy! Every time I have to think about the strategy, I am stepping out of the flow of what actually IS and who I truly am.

My only strategy here is authenticity. You never know what you will get here, but I promise that it will be real because I’m exhausted by all of the ways we are encouraged to be fake.
