The Beginning

Do you see yourself in me?

My experience as a business owner is probably familiar to many. I spent (so so ) many years drowning; doing everything humanly possible, yet it never being anywhere near enough. Knowing that I needed more help, but not having the time, energy or money to find it.

I didn’t have the skills to build or maintain a team, so I was very often struggling alone or with the wrong team in place.

I love our business (shout out to Side Street Cafe!) and felt pride, but also felt deep resentment for what it was taking from me. I was a desperate people pleaser and almost always made decisions that would earn approval from others… while betraying myself or our success.

I share this because I know that many of you feel this way right now. If not at work, elsewhere in life.

As with all areas that need recovery… eventually I hit rock bottom. This was painful, it was scary, but it was also the greatest gift. I was forced to stop pointing the finger of blame at my life, work, situations, childhood, history, other people and accept that I alone was the common denominator in it all.

While I wanted to learn professional skills to garner respect and have less chaos, I QUICKLY realized that I HAD to face myself first. So, I started with the very basics.

I became obsessed with noticing and understanding why I do what I do (AWARENESS) and holding myself accountable for it. I loved to share my insights, (“A ha! of course I keep creating overwhelm in my life! I grew up feeling overwhelmed! It’s so obvious!”) Digging deep to understand so that I would have the power to change became my hobby!

I grew respect for myself and then grew our team, opened other diversified business with partners, created more meaningful time with my family, committed more to our community, aligned the people and opportunities in my life with my values, all while sleeping well at night.

With this shift, you can create the life and business of your dreams. Build a team that supports and collaborates with you. Bring back the passion for why you started your business in the first place.

I can’t promise much, but I CAN promise that if you actually want it, peace, simplicity, success, personal and professional freedom are available for you. I say “if you actually want it” because many people are emotionally addicted to suffering, it is what they have always known.

I will go deeper on tips, insights and strategies in future posts, so follow along if I’m speaking your language!

I specialize in providing powerful tools for small business owners and leaders who are ready for a new way.

So glad you’re here!
